Logan Murphy

I’m a professional photographer primarily, but videography, writing, and general artistry is my core essence.

I have been involved in photography for over 12 years developing a unique style of intimate, sharp, rhythmic, and emotional photographs telling dynamic stories.

Photography naturally goes into video and I have a strong rhythmic talent of winding music and cuts to create flowing productions which keep you on the edge of your seat always looking for what comes next.

As a drummer for over 17 years my connection to rhythm is deeply internalized, connecting me with the natural rhythm present in all things. This translates into a powerful faculty giving my photo’s an exquisite timing unique to me. This is visible in my photo’s in which I describe as, “peak action”, a signature of my style.

Much of my time has contributed to social movements, and the most intense would be: being one of the main creatives for “Canada Marches”, a cross country protest lead by a 30 year Canadian Armed Forces Infantry Veteran. I trekked for 6 months, full time, embedded with the team doing photography, videography, editing, prints, merchandise, and writing. This journey was from Castlegar, B.C. all the way to Newfoundland.

Another skill to my roster is my advanced drone certification. Using one of the best drones on the market I capture amazing stills, and leverage aerial video for serious dynamic enhancement of any project. I have used my drone primarily for 2 major video projects: Canada Marches and the mini-doc “Innocent Until Proven Guilty”. Another foray into the drone world is my small business “Drone Dwelling” which is for the market of archival media of clients personal property.
